Während seiner Ausbildung und nach Abschluß seines Architekturstudiums untersuchte Greg Hallett unterschiedliche psychologische Modelle.
Während des Kalten Krieges reiste er weit hinter den Eisernen Vorhang, trampte in Flugzeugen und erstellte sich aus Luftpostsäcken Schlafkojen. Er schuf sich ein Netzwerk aus osteuropäischen Kontakten und erhielt Einsicht in die Funktionsweise des sowjetischen Staates und in dessen Pläne, den Westen zu kolonialisieren.
Er kaufte sofort nach dem Berliner Mauerfall Gebäude auf und führte enthüllende Interviews mit KGB-Mitarbeitern über die auf einer perfiden Sexualmoral beruhenden Dekonstruktionspläne der westlichen Bevölkerung. Diese sowjetischen Pläne wie auch Hitlers Pläne werden seit 1945 konsequent weltweit umgesetzt.
„Vor und nach diesen Treffen hefteten sich die Geheimdienste an mich. 1967 verfolgte mich zuerst der frühere Leibarzt des einstigen englischen Königs, kurz danach der Bruder von Königin Elisabeth II. Als ich mich auf die sowjetischen Treffen vorbereitete, lieferten mir ehemalige Geheimdienstler einen Deckmantel. Zur Tarnung ließ ich mir die Haare schneiden, trug andere Kleidung, führte verschiedene Beziehungen, änderte meine Reisearrangements, wurde hinsichtlich prägnanter geschichtlicher Details instruiert, machte Mundpropaganda... und widersprach ihr wenig später.
Am 9. Dezember 1989 interviewte ich einige KGB-Beamte in Moskau. Eine Einladung zum Essen genügte manchmal schon, um an Informationen zu kommen, weil die Leute so schlecht bezahlt wurden. Es wurden mir diverse psychologische Methoden erklärt, meine Gespräche führten zu weiteren weltweiten Kontakten. Ich erhielt eine weitere Geheimdienstausbildung, traf James Bond III. und den Spymaster. Er und andere Geheimdienstagenten informierten mich über einen Zeitraum von acht Jahren. So entstanden zehn Bücher. – Sie halten gerade eines dieser Reihe in Ihren Händen.“
Der Spymaster arbeitete Jahrzehnte lang in vielen Ländern unter Umständen, deren feindselig sich gegenüberstehende Pole oftmals verborgen waren. Als verdeckter Ermittler infiltrierte er nationalsozialistische, kommunistische und marxistische Gruppierungen sowie einige der bösartigsten kriminellsten Banden Neuseelands. In manchen Fällen, in denen man wohl die Identitäten verwechselte, wurden andere Personen an seiner Stelle getötet.
